Job Description:

 

A substitute teacher provides instructional support by filling in for absent teachers across various grade levels and subjects. The role requires maintaining a productive classroom environment, delivering lesson plans, and ensuring continuity of education.  

Responsibilities:

 

• Implement and deliver lesson plans left by the regular teacher.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different student learning styles.
• Supervise students and ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom.
• Handle any classroom disruptions or issues that arise.
• Provide academic assistance to students as needed.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Be prepared to teach in different classrooms and subjects as required.
• Quickly adapt to new teaching environments and student needs.
• Assist teachers with their students as detailed by the teacher 
• Assigned duties 
• Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications: 

 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Certification: Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching license as required by the state.
• Experience: Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.

 

Daily Rate of Pay:

 

• $120.00 per day/ $60.00 for half-day
• $150.00 per day for long-term substitute assignments
